Review of Traffic Education Program

Client: VicRoads

This project aimed to determine the most effective, efficient and strategic method(s) for VicRoads to support Traffic Safety Education (TSE) delivery to children in schools and early childhood centres and their parents/carers.

The project involved undertaking a detailed review of VicRoads role in delivering TSE, including analysing VicRoads current approach and delivery methods, identifying opportunities and making evidence-based recommendations to help shape VicRoads' future role in TSE. 

Capire's role included:

  • Reviewing VicRoads approach and support of TSE delivery targeting children and their parents/carers.
  • Consulting key target audiences and stakeholders to elicit opinions about the services and programs VicRoads provides or should be providing and appropriate methods of delivery and support.
  • Providing recommendations to VicRoads in relation to its approach to TSE and possible future delivery methods/models

VicRoads will use the recommendations to improve its service as an innovative leader in TSE.

Amy Hubbard

Amy Hubbard is a Director and co-founder of Capire Consulting Group. She has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, social planning and community development. Amy has worked with public and private sector organisations in Australia and overseas enabling her to develop a versatile approach to specific project objectives.

Sally Abbott

Sally has worked for international organisations, Australian non-profits and has conducted community engagement in Mexico, Laos and Australia. With a particular focus on community development and planning, Sally's studies have both complemented and propelled her career path. She brings a broad range of skills to her current role as social research and stakeholder engagement consultant.
