Interim Evaluation of the Rural Women Drought and Climate Change Initiative
Client: Department of Planning and Community Development
The Interim Evaluation of the Rural Women Drought and Climate Change Initiative involved a largely qualitative evaluation framework to capture personal experiences of the women involved in the State-wide initiative and the associated change occurring in communities across Victoria. The initiative aims to increase women's participation, recognising that women are key contributors in strengthening and sustaining communities through change. This initiative involves five officers across Victoria employed to develop networks and build community resilience in relation to drought and climate change.
The Interim Evaluation identified, examined and reported on the processes, activities, services and outcomes of the initiative. It also contributed to the evidence base for potential future partnerships and program delivery relating to Victorian rural women addressing drought and climate change.
Capire Consulting Group was contracted to undertake an interim evaluation of the Rural Women's Drought and Climate Change initiative. The interim evaluation involved the engagement of rural women form across Victoria. A report with case studies, key themes, stories and statistics was prepared and presented to DPCD.
