Collingwood Community Information Centre Evaluation

Client: Yarra City Council

The evaluation of the Collingwood Community Information Centre (CCIC) was completed by Capire on behalf of Yarra City Council.  At the time of the project, the CCIC was funded to June 2010. The evaluation was triggered by the need for funding partners to determine future funding arrangements.

The evaluation identified options and feasibility for the future of activities and services currently provided through the CCIC. It provided a better understanding of community development, employment, and learning needs and services of the Collingwood community. The evaluation also recommended a future service model and implementation strategy.

The evaluation was underpinned by extensive consultation to ensure that the evaluation was realistic and recommendations were achievable. The consultation also assisted in strengthening partnerships and networks between residents, the community sector, and government.

The evaluation was presented to funding partners in April 2010, with funding for the next three years of CCIC's operation secured in July 2010.
